Later in, it was also discovered that vegetable glycerin (VG) was equally as effective as PG. Still, with the added benefit of being hypoallergenic, it does not produce any bad effects in persons sensitive to PG. 

 

Furthermore, VG is thicker than PG, resulting in larger vape clouds.

 

However, the higher viscosity means that consumers experience less of a throat hit, which is the sensation most similar to smoking a cigarette. 

 

Since this discovery of VG, producers and vape users alike have been experimenting with various VG and PG mixtures to achieve the ideal balance of e-liquids.
